Through this partnership, Johnson provides an Administrative Support Agreement payment to RNU each year which we donate back to causes in our community. Here are a few donations in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Food Sharing Association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In December, RNU was pleased to donate $6,000 to the Community Food Sharing Association, made on behalf of the RNU Board of Directors and staff. The $250 cheque was presented by our Shop Steward Lori Upshall (Labour Relations Officer) and Secretary-Treasurer Victoria Atwood (Administrative Assistant).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kids Eat Smart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>RNU has been supporting the Kids Eat Smart Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador since 2013.<\/p>\n<p>In November, RNU participated in the Kids Eat Smart Radiothon, which raised over $340,000.<\/p>\n<p>President Yvette Coffey proudly presented a $5,000 donation at the Kids Eat Smart Radiothon on behalf of RNU.<\/p>\n<p>The RNU team \u2013 Kim Parsons, RN (Region 9 Rep), Donna Walsh (Executive Assistant), Melanie Brooks (Accounting) and Lori Upshall, RN (Labour Relations Officer) also volunteered on site to answer phones and accept donations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-729 \" src=\"https:\/\/intouch.rnunl.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Radiothon2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"691\" height=\"921\" srcset=\"https:\/\/intouch.rnunl.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Radiothon2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/intouch.rnunl.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Radiothon2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/intouch.rnunl.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Radiothon2.jpg 1086w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 691px) 100vw, 691px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Heart &amp; Stroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In June, RNU presented a $10,000 donation to the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador to support their Nursing Student Scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>This donation is part of a three-year commitment, which will see a total of $30,000 donated to the Heart &amp; Stroke Nursing Student Scholarships.
