This year, Newfoundland and Labrador celebrated Pride in a big way. There were many events and parades planned across the province, and RNU members came together to show their support for the diversity of our membership and the LGBTQ2IA+ community.
Members attended Pride events in Corner Brook, Gander, Fogo Island, and St. John’s.

Royal St. John’s Regatta
The Royal St. John’s Regatta took place on Wednesday, August 2, and is one of RNU’s favourite traditions. We’d like to sincerely thank all those who volunteered with us at the Royal St. John’s Regatta who made our Seniors’ Rest Stop another great success!
We’d also like to acknowledge RNU’s very own Gabe Houlihan, who goes above and beyond every year to make our Seniors’ Rest Stop possible.
2024 will be our 40th year lakeside!

Kids Eat Smart
The Kids Eat Smart Foundation held their annual Radiothon on November 8, which raised nearly $400,000! On behalf of RNU, Vice President-Elect Kim Parsons proudly presented a $5,000 donation.
The RNU team – Kim, RN (VP Elect), Linda, RN (Labour Relations Officer), and Tobie (Accountant), were on site to answer phones and accept donations.
RNU is proud to support the Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador. Every child deserves the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and develop.
